Work-based learning > Quality, impact and what people say
about us
The Adult Learner’s Inspectorate (ALI) inspectors visited our
work based learning provision in County Durham, Norfolk and
Berkshire in 2006 and following this visit include
was named by ALI’s Chief Inspector, David Sherlock, as being in the
top third of all providers inspected during the year.
include received ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’
inspection grades for every aspect of our training.
David Sherlock said:
” I am delighted to be able to name include as one of this
year’s outstanding providers. They have demonstrated an
extraordinary commitment to achieving the highest standards in the
quality of training they offer. Learners can be confident that they
will receive first-class support to reach their full potential. To
be one of the top providers in the country is a tremendous
achievement and a great credit to the team at include”.
‘include have an open door policy and are
willing to give all referrals from Connexions a chance, unlike some
e2e providers. include staff have a good relationship with
Connexions staff………………...’
‘include has the ability/facility to reach
those harder to reach groups.’
‘They offer ‘tailored’ support, help clients move into work/
find work experience placements and so reduce NEET figures for the
area.’
‘They have positive links with various organisations and
positive networking. include has a regular group of enthusiastic
young people able to participate with volunteering events. They
offer personal development for young people and opportunities to
develop and enhance skills and experience, which may enhance
learning and /or career opportunities.’
‘include gives young people some really
great opportunities and I know that the young people really benefit
and enjoy it (even if they don’t always show it at the time). The
include staff should be praised for what they do and achieve. They
do care about their users.’
‘It has been a positive experience working with
include. I look forward to future
partnerships.’
‘E has been a fantastic volunteer, very interested in what
she is doing. We are happy to have other volunteers within our
setting but they do need to be interested in working with children,
as this is a hard but rewarding profession.’
